Sir,
I very much enjoyed your class! Along with the mathematical skills, you taught some great lessons about life in general. I was able to learn and study with joy because of you! It’s unfortunate that it was my first and last quarter with you, but I hope to see you again during your office hour time to time, if you’d let me! Merry Christmas and please ignore all the bad reviews of yours on ratemyprofessors if you care. They do not mean anything. I was scared to sign up at first, but everyone should know how great a professor you are. Thank you so much for all your help and guidance!
Sincerely,

Dear Professor Kestas,
I am the student who followed you after the Math 41.011 final and asked you for advice because I was nervous about the exam, passing the class, and not pacing myself to have enough time to finish. I am truly sorry for bothering you with my concerns after the final. I came to you asking for advice on top of my personal concerns because I definitely respect you and believe you to be an accomplished individual and did not intend to bother you or waste your time.
This was my third time taking this course and since then I have been admitted to UCSD so I'm sure you can imagine why I was so flustered. I apologize for my actions and regardless, wanted to thank you for this quarter. Thank you for bringing physics and engineering into the course and showing us why the topics were relevant.
Again, I am genuinely apologetic for bothering you then and thank you for your time!
Sincerly,
Jamie Lxxxxx

Good evening, I wanted to reach you for two things: Due to a family situation I have to move out of the bay for about 6-7 months thus I'll have to drop your class. Second, It is with heavy heart that I do it because I can't remember a more enjoyable class than yours. Every time I went there I knew I was getting something out and I was looking forward to be your student in more classes in the future.
But then again, god willing, you'll see me again on Fall 2016. Please continue been amazing, and I'll see you later.

It was a pleasure to be enrolled in your 4:00PM Mon & Wed Math 41 class. I understood your lectures and yet was fighting back a flu, which finally took its course, a couple of weeks ago, the last time I saw you. I am still under the effects of its symptoms. I am emailing you to let you know that I dropped your class, mostly because I needed to work to make my payment for a student loan, which I do not wish to default on. The time working subtracted from the time I needed for study. When I am able to take math and/or engineering classes, I want to keep you as my professor/instructor.
Thank you for your time and consideration during class sessions. Thanks for your help.

I'm sorry to say that I will have to take the W from your class this quarter, I can not afford to get even a C, (as if i could even get that at this point) cuz it will kill my GPA that I have been working so hard on being on deans list.
I mixed up the P/NP date with the W date, do i really do not have a choice. I am not in the place to be able to use all my time to work as hard as I need to to be able to get a B. There is little focus and to much going on.

Some better than others, but gotta do my best nontheless.
I miss De Anza and your classes, the whole environment was much more interpersonal and family like. At sjsu theres a lotta people and less connection. gotta live and grow i suppose, changes and challenges are a part of life. I see Mr. Berkely Holt now and then, no classes together tho...that was for the best haha. Mr. Renato Carlos is around too, we have dynamics and fluids together. Was reminessing about your classes and the DA environment yesterday, so it was irie i got the new E10 letter. Anyhow, it was good to chat with you after some time. Hello Professor,
Thank you again for letting us take the exam early. That was definitely above and beyond and we really appreciate it. The exam actually took me by surprise. I completed the first and last parts and I focused more on the final material than the material covered right before. I wished I could have answered the questions a little bit better, but for some reason the entire reasoning behind it was failing me. I give definite congrats to anyone who can understand and do this for a living.
Thank you very much again for your assistance. I definitely did struggle, but as a business majors we just aren't cut out for some things =)
Please let me know if any issues arise. Otherwise, thank you very much for your assistance. Being the last time this is required by Stanford, I am sure your Stanford student enrollment will be down to zero next year.

[Stanford University Engineering-Business students used to come to De Anza for Circuit Analysis, a course required by all engineering majors.
