Brittany, currently an engineer at Apple, was another bright sixteen-year old high school student who took my engineering classes. She went on to Berkeley for her Electrical Engineering degree and a couple of years later she send her then sixteen year old brother, Brandon, to take my classes.
See her "out of the blue," as she says, email below. She is involved in Apple's cutting edge Technology. Thank you Brittany for your kind words, I was but a small part of your success.

Hi Professor!
Happy New Year! I hope this email from out of the blue finds you well.
Brandon had showed me the website you had created a while back and I have been meaning to reach out to you. We both feel very honored and humbled to have you post us up on your website.
I graduated from Cal in May of last year and have been working at Apple since June. I work in the Touch and Sensing Hardware department and I worked on the fingerprint sensor for the iPhone 5S. Work here is absolutely nuts, but in a good way that reminds me of school. Every day is a new day filled with different and unpredictable challenges. I've also already had to travel so that's been an interesting experience as well.
It's hard to believe that so much time has passed since I first took your Intro to Engineering course when I was a junior in high school, and then later your Intro to Circuits class as a graduating senior. Thanks again for your support and encouragement through these years. I definitely could not have gotten where I am today without you.
Are you still around at De Anza? Maybe we can grab lunch or coffee sometime :)
Best regards,
Brittany J****
